Fiscal Sponsorship Allies does not provide grant funding or direct funding to organizations that are fiscally sponsored, nor do we review fundraising proposals.

Oftentimes, the answer to this question is yes! Please check with your grant provider to ensure they accept applications from fiscally sponsored projects, as each grant provider is different. Currently, we do not accept federal grants.

The steps are straightforward and meant to make the grant application process easier for sponsored organizations.

1. The first step is completing the grant application form (insert link) and submitting it to the FSA team.
2. From there, we will review the information on the form and either approve or deny the grant opportunity based on eligibility and if we are able to facilitate the grant.
3. Once the grant application form is approved, the fiscally sponsored organization will complete the grant application with assistance from their point of contact. FSA will provide the necessary documents you need for the grant application such as audited financials, 990’s, or yearly budgets.
4. After the grant application has been completed, our team will review it once more and give final approval for submission. 

We do not currently offer grant writing services. We are more than happy to assist in the grant application process and provide the resources that we have available to make the process easier for organizations.

Yes! We support existing 501c3 organizations in applying for grants for a variety of reasons including: providing 3+ years of financial statements for specific grants and assisting in managing the grant reports for you until you are able to handle that administrative task.

It depends on how the granting organization chooses to distribute funds. Granting organizations have full discretion over the timeline to review application submissions, approvals, and fund distribution. Sometimes, the grant process can be quite lengthy with organizations only reviewing submitted applications a few times a year. We work diligently to communicate with the granting organization to understand when to anticipate the distribution of awarded funds. 

We typically respond to submissions within 2 business days. Usually, we can send you an approval or denial for the grant opportunity in that time frame, but we might need to ask additional questions to ensure that your organization is eligible for the grant. 

The Grant Application Form allows our team to review the funding opportunity before an application is submitted. This helps ensure the opportunity aligns with your project, confirms eligibility requirements, and allows us to provide the support and documentation needed for a successful application.

No. Submitting the form is the first step in our internal review process. Our team will review your request and let you know whether you are approved to move forward with the grant application or if additional information is needed.

As your fiscal sponsor, we are legally responsible for accepting and administering grant funds awarded to your project. Reviewing grant opportunities in advance helps ensure we can meet the funder’s requirements and properly manage any awarded funds.

Please have the following information available:

• The name of your fiscally sponsored organization.
• Contact information for who in your organization is handling the grant application. 
• The grant opportunity and/or funder name.
• The application submission deadline.
• The amount of funding being requested by your organization. 
• The type of funding source the funds are coming from.
• The reporting requirements for the grant opportunity.
• A link to the funding opportunity or application guidelines (if available).
• Any additional requirements or supporting documents requested by the funder.

All grant applications that identify Fiscal Sponsorship Allies as your fiscal sponsor or request funding through our organization should be submitted for review before being sent to the funder.

No. Please wait until you receive approval from our team before submitting any grant application on behalf of your sponsored project. This helps prevent delays and ensures all required documentation is accurate and complete. We reserve the right to reject any funding that your organization is received if the grant application was not approved prior to submission.
